During the second quarter of 2022, the top 5 carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Panama showed varying trends in downloads and active user engagement. Here’s a closer look at their performance according to data from Sensor Tower.

inDrive. Save on city rides exhibited a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 5.9K at the end of March and decreasing to about 3.1K by the end of June. Active users also saw a slight drop, from around 50.6K to 48.3K over the same period.

Uber - Request a ride had relatively stable weekly downloads, fluctuating between 1K and 1.3K. The number of active users experienced a downward trend, starting at 75.5K in late March and ending at approximately 66K by the last week of June.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides saw a notable decrease in weekly downloads, dropping from 1.3K in late March to around 480 by the end of June. Active users also declined, from 32.3K to roughly 30.2K during the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a consistent download rate, hovering between 300 and 700 weekly downloads. Active users showed a slight downward trend, from 4.7K at the end of March to about 4.1K by the end of June.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash experienced a consistent, albeit low, download rate, with weekly downloads ranging from 150 to 300. Active users demonstrated a slight decrease from 7.3K in late March to approximately 6.4K by the end of the quarter.
